Mallorca

The island of Mallorca is a holiday destination which well beyond its beaches, will surprise you with interesting architecture, cuisine and shopping. It is an island of mountains, world heritage (Serra Tramuntana) and vineyards, with spectacular nature, that will take you by surprise too.

As Spain’s largest Mediterranean Island, Mallorca is easily accessible from all the main European airports.

Mallorca’s capital – Palma, is set in the beautiful bay, famous for its stunning sunsets. It is a wonderful city in which you can just wander around, but it also has a number of monuments that you should be sure to visit. One of them is the gothic Catedral de Santa María with its stained-glass windows – the best known landmark of the city. The cathedral dominates the waterfront and backs onto the oldest part of the city where churches of medieval, gothic and baroque periods are found along with Renaissance style buildings. The Cathedral is close to the 10th century Arab baths and the gateway to the city’s old quarter of narrow winding streets and ornate squares where orange and olive trees give shade to the many charming street cafés.
