Our partner school in Bologna, was established in 2000. It’s a medium-sized, family-run Italian language school. The school is located in Bologna city centre, at the entrance of the city walls. The Medieval historic centre is just 10 minutes by foot. The most beautiful city park, the Giardini Margherita is only few metres away. Located in a historical building, the school itself was entirely renovated in 2015. It offers top quality teaching and a friendly learning environment. The staff is known for the personal attention provided both in and outside of the classroom.

On average, 3-4 weekly social activities + extra excursions are included in price (except from transportation & entrance fees if any). The social programme is organized directly by the school’s director and the teachers in the school and all activities and excursions are accompanied by a teacher.

• The course consists of group course 3 workshops per week + one extra individual class on a topic chosen by the student a day.

BUSINESS COURSE

• 20 group lessons + 10 business lessons per week ; 6 classes a day
• It consists of 20 hours of intensive general Italian + 10 lessons focused on business Italian in mini-group per week (6 hours per day: 4+2).

EXAM PREPARATION COURSE

• 20 classes a week; 6 classes a day
• 20 hours of lessons General Italian + 10h of exam preparation.
• ALCE is an OFFICIAL Examination Centre for:

• CELI, Authorised by UnistraPG – University for foreigners at Perugia

• The courses last 2, 4 or 6 weeks.

50 + COURSE / PROGRAMME FOR SENIORS

• 20 classes a week in group made of 45/50 years old+ students
• 2 week-programme at set starting dates: twice per year in May and September
• Level: A1+ (elementary+)
• 20 hours of Italian in group in the morning + visits and cultural discoveries included ( cooking class, wine tasting, art galleries, museums + one full day trip)
• 9 AM-1:15 PM + activities in the afternoon & 1 Saturday

Italian PLUS programmes

• General intensive 20 course PLUS 6 to 9 specific classes per week:
• Italian PLUS culture (ART, HISTORY or LITERATURE)
• Italian PLUS cooking
• Italian PLUS wine tasting

Aditional information:

• Duration of unit: 60 minutes
• Minimum age of students for group courses is 17.
• The general intensive group courses are held from 9,00 am to 13,15 am (from Monday to Friday).

Homestay with Italian host family

We offer single rooms (unless you are coming with a friend/family then double room can be requested) and 2 types of stay:

• Half-board: with breakfast and dinner included
• Self-catering: no meals included but kitchen use allowed

This accommodation option includes:

• Laundry service (once a week)
• In most cases the bathroom is shared with other members of the family
• Maximum 2 students of different mother tongue per household

You can be hosted by different kinds of host-families: Parents with children or teenagers, married couples with no children, mothers with children, elderly couples, single women.

The homestay families may live in a house or an apartment. Generally, homestays are located no more than 30 minutes (walking distance) or 10/15 minutes (short bus ride), with a maximum of about 2 kilometers.

Shared apartments

The apartments are school-owned and managed. There are 2 different shared apartments located in the same elegant building, less than a five minute walk from the school.

Each apartment contains 5 bedrooms and includes:

• fully equipped kitchen
• 2 shared bathrooms, with shower and toilet
• washing machine (free of charge)
• common area (an open space living / dining area)
• Wi-Fi (free of charge)

Aditional information:

Accommodations are included from the Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday after the end of the course. It is possible to add maximum one night before and/or one night after, depending on availabilities.
