Our partner school in Lisbon has organised Portuguese Language Courses for nearly 40 years.

The centre has 3 premises in Lisbon, all in the city centre, in the area of Saldanha Square.

The school is near the beautiful Eduard VII Park, and within a walking distance from the historical part of the city overlooking the Tagus River.  The area is both a residential and business area, as are many of the quarters in Lisbon.

Maximum group size: 8 students

Activities and excursions:

Some of the activities are included in the course fee and others require an extra cost. All of them  are subject to a minimum number of inscriptions. The program of activities can include:

• movie screenings and lectures in the school
• guided visits to museums and monuments
• evening outings to  concerts and bars
• typical Portuguese dinners

sports activities (canoeing, climbing, biking, scuba diving).

Students are always accompanied by experienced monitors. On Saturdays the school organizes half‐day visits to points of interest and full-day excursions on Sundays, giving students an insight of Portuguese culture. The places visited are, for example: Jerónimos Monastery, St.Georges Castle, Sintra.

General Portuguese  Course (15 lessons per week)

3 lessons/day

Levels: beginner A1 to advanced C2

Minimum duration: 1 week

Group + Workshop Portuguese Course (25 lessons per week)

5 lessons/day

It consists of General Portuguese Course in the morning +  2 lessons per day in the afternoon covering different topics. The topics will range from Conversation, Vocabulary drills, Grammar practice, Presentations, Role Playing and others.

Levels: beginner A1 to advanced C2

Minimum duration: 1 week

Combined Course (15 group lessons + 5/10/15 individual lessons per week)

3 lessons/day (morning) in Group + 1, 2, or 3 Individual lessons/day (afternoon)

Portuguese and Surf 

General Portuguese course of 15 lessons per week + 5 or10 Surf lessons in the afternoons

The surf lessons take place on the beaches around Lisbon and are organized by a partner surf school.

Students are driven to and from the beach, in an activity that takes around 2,5h . Transportation, equipment (wetsuit and surf board) and insurance are included.

Minimum duration: 2 weeks

Our school can prepare you for the Official Certificates for Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PLE)

The courses start any Monday (apart from total beginners and Portuguese and Surf Program, which begin on specific dates).

Portuguese Host Family

Students are placed in individual bedrooms and will be the only native speaker of their language in the house. The homes are located close to the school, many within walking distance, otherwise maximum 20 min. by public transportation (bus or subway). This option is Bed and Breakfast.

Shared Apartment 

Option of single or shared rooms. Apartments are fully equipped, with cable TV and wifi. Bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared with other students. The flats are within walking distance.

Prices include: Tuiton, Textbook, Audio CD, Placement Test , Grading and Final Tests, Certificate/Diploma, Internet access,  Audiovisual and multimedia facilities, Cultural Programme Activities (except for dinners)

ACCOMMODATION 2020

Shared apartments require a  placement fee: 40 € and a security deposit: 100 €.
