Spanish Courses in Santa Cruz de Tenerife: At Desilena, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience. All our teachers are university graduates, native speakers, and experienced in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. To ensure the effectiveness of our method, groups are limited to a maximum of 10 students, allowing for more personalized attention. Classes are held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and are conducted entirely in Spanish from day one, immersing you fully in the language.
Our school is located in a modern office designed for your comfort. The classrooms are fully equipped, and our staff will ensure that you feel at home from the very first moment, becoming part of the Desilena family.
During breaks, students can enjoy tea or coffee, relax, practice Spanish with fellow classmates, or take advantage of the school’s resources, such as the library or Internet access, either via Wi-Fi or on the available student computers.

Our courses
This course is designed for adults aged 16 and above who want to improve their Spanish quickly and effectively.
- Course Structure:
The intensive course consists of four daily classes, from Monday to Friday, based on an immersive and communicative approach. Students will learn grammar step by step according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). - Teaching Method:
Lessons include written, listening, and speaking exercises, such as:- Reading and analyzing newspaper articles.
- Practicing phone conversations.
- Debating and analyzing Spanish films.
- Conversational activities focused on real-life situations.
- Course Details:
- Levels: A1, A2, B1, and B2 (according to the CEFR).
- Small groups: 3 to 10 students.
- Lesson duration: 1 lesson = 45 minutes.
- Age: 16-99 years.

This course is designed for students of all levels who wish to combine work with Spanish studies.
- Course Structure:
The course includes two lessons per day, twice a week. Special attention is given to grammar acquisition, combined with vocabulary development, following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The course also employs a communicative language learning method to enhance practical language skills. - Course Details:
- Levels: A1, A2, B1, and B2 (according to the CEFR).
- Small groups: 3 to 10 students. A minimum of 3 students at the same level is required to form a group.
- Ages: 21-99 years.
- Lesson duration: 1 lesson = 45 minutes.

Holidays
The public holidays in 2025 are: January 1st; February 2nd and 13th; March 28th and 29th; May 1st and 30th; August 15th; October 14th; November 1st; December 6th and 25th.
The school will be closed on these holidays.
If two holidays fall within the same week, one of the days will be made up by redistributing lessons among the other teaching days.
The school will be closed from August 5th, 2025 to August 25th, 2025 and from December 23rd, 2025 to December 29th, 2025.
The school will remain open for the rest of the year.

Activities
Monthly Updates and Activity Guidelines
- Monthly Bulletin: Every month, the school provides students with a monthly bulletin containing the date, time, and topic of the various extracurricular activities scheduled.
- Sign-Up Requirement: To participate in activities, students must inform the school administration at least 2 days prior to the activity date.
- Free Activities for Enrolled Students: Extracurricular activities held within the school's premises are free for students with active enrollment. For others, the cost is €5 per activity.
- Minimum Participants: A minimum of 3 participants is required for the activity to proceed.
- Cancellation Policy: The school reserves the right to cancel the activity if fewer than three people sign up.
