Standard Portuguese is:
- An intensive course that covers general Portuguese.
- It takes place from 9:00 to 13:00 (with a coffee break at 11:00).
- Available for all proficiency levels (students are placed according to their level).
- Open to all ages (18 years and older).
- A minimum booking of 1 week is required.

Accommodation
We are constantly striving to improve our accommodation systems for students. Currently, we work closely with a selection of Host Families who have experience in hosting international students and enjoy helping them improve their Portuguese language skills. This is why, when you leave the school, you have only completed part of your Portuguese learning experience. As soon as you get home, another type of Portuguese lesson awaits you. The Portuguese Language, Culture, Cuisine, and Traditions are often present in your host family’s home.
On the other hand, for those who prefer some privacy at the end of the day, an apartment is an excellent option to consider. These are located just a few minutes from the school and are often part of historic buildings now protected and preserved. The apartments combine simple décor with useful appliances and everything you might need for a short stay in Porto.

Outdoor lessons and social activities are free of any extra charge.
Students are required to pay for their own expenses, which may include transportation, museum entries, refreshments, etc.
Social activities are subject to a minimum number of 4 students.
Lessons missed due to public holidays will be rescheduled to other days/times of the week.
All class materials are provided by the school.
All enrollments are subject to a registration fee of €40. This is valid for 12 months.
Accommodation includes bed linen and towels and is self-catered.
Extra nights = €50

Skype lessons are scheduled according to students’ time zones and teachers’ availability.
Online courses are held via Skype, Zoom, or Google, and course materials are provided by Oficina de Português. These are lessons designed according to students’ needs.
Holidays
In 2025, the school will be closed on the following dates, including regional and local holidays: January 1, April 18, April 25, May 1, June 10, June 19, June 19-27, August 15, August 18-29, December 1, December 8, and December 22-26. The school's policy on holidays is that all missed classes will be made up.

Our Portuguese language school is equipped with wireless internet, a computer for student use, a small library, a private study room, a reception area with a coffee machine, a kettle for tea, and occasionally some Portuguese pastries! All of our classrooms benefit from direct sunlight and are modern and spacious.

Outdoor classes in Porto are free of extra charges. Students are only required to pay for their own transport and entry fees.
