Our partner school in Lisbon is located in Cais do Sodré, in the heart of downtown Lisbon. The area is close to the river and easy to reach from all parts of the city. The building is surrounded by many popular Lisbon attractions, such as the Time Out Market, a well-liked spot for foodies and music lovers, or Praça São Paulo, a close-by lively square perfect to socialise after class.

Activities and excursions

To introduce our students to the beauty of Lisbon, our partner school offers a wide range of optional cultural and social activities to explore the city. Some of the activities are organised by the school directly and others through the partnered organisations. The trips range in availability and price, and some are negotiated at special prices for our students.

Activities can include:

• Discovering the old streets of Lisbon through walking tours
• Evenings with traditional Fado music
• Portuguese cooking classes
• Surfing lessons held at beaches 30 minutes from the school
• Trips to one of Lisbon’s many galleries

Standard intensive course

• 20 lessons per week, 4 classes a day
• Monday to Friday
• Levels: A1-C1
• Minimn course duration: 1 week

Part-time course

• 4 classes a week, in the evenings
• Timetable: 19:00-21:00, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
• Levels: A1-C1
• Minimun course duration: 5 weeks

Conversation additional course

• 1,5 hours a week
• This course can be added to your standard intensive of part-time course. A fun and dynamic approach creates an informal environment among students to encourage interaction.
• Timetable: Fridays, 18:30-20:00
• Levels: A2-B2
• Minimun course duration: 4 weeks

Each lesson is comprised of 55 minutes.

Portuguese host family

Living in a homestay provides a friendly and comfortable home for students during their stay in Lisbon, and great exposure to the Portuguese language and culture. A laundry service once a week and free WIFI are provided.

Most homestays are in Saldanha area, 15 minutes from the school by metro. The rooms are nicely furnished, bathroom and living rooms are shared with the family and/or other guests. Homestays do not include meals. Breakfast or any other meals may be available only upon request.

Private rooms in shared apartments

In the shared apartments, you will have a private single fully furnished room. You share the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom with your roommates. Apartments are all fully furnished and equipped with all modern conveniences and the price includes electricity, water and gas and free WIFI.

Most of the rooms available are in Alameda area, 10 minutes from the school by metro. Apartments are shared with either international students or Portuguese students (or sometimes mix of Portuguese and international students).

Private apartments

Private apartments are available in Alfama (up to 20 minutes walking from the school) or Bairro Alto (10 minutes walking from the school) areas. The apartments have capacity of up to 4 guests. They are fully furnished and have fully equipped kitchen. WIFI and laundry service /washing machine included in all the flats.
