Our school in Faro is located in the town centre, within walking distance to the waterfront and main monuments. This area is both a residential and business area, near Santo António Street, a pedestrian shopping street .The central Bus station is within walking distance from the school.

Faro and the Algarve region are known for its fabulous beaches and water sports facilities; there is always plenty of information available at the school on all possibilities of enjoying the south portuguese cost.

Activities and excursions:

Some of the activities are included in the course fee and others require an extra cost. All of them  are subject to a minimum number of inscriptions. The program of activities can include:

• movie screenings and lectures in the school
• guided visits to museums and monuments
• evening outings to  concerts and bars
• typical Portuguese dinners

sports activities (canoeing, climbing, biking, scuba diving).

Students are always accompanied by experienced monitors. On Saturdays the school organizes half‐day visits to points of interest and full-day excursions on Sundays, giving students an insight of Portuguese culture.

General Portuguese  Course (15 lessons per week)

Levels: beginner A1 to advanced C2

Group + Workshop Portuguese Course (25 lessons per week)

5 lessons/day

It consists of General Portuguese Course in the morning +  2 lessons per day in the afternoon covering different topics. The topics will range from Conversation, Vocabulary drills, Grammar practice, Presentations, Role Playing and others.

Levels: beginner A1 to advanced C2

Minimum duration: 1 week

Combined Course (15 group lessons + 5/10/15 individual lessons per week)

3 lessons/day (morning) in Group + 1, 2, or 3 Individual lessons/day (afternoon)

The courses start any Monday (apart from total beginners  which begin on specific dates).

Portuguese Host Family

Students are placed in individual bedrooms and will be the only native speaker of their language in the house. The homes are located close to the school, many within walking distance, otherwise maximum 20 min. by public transportation (bus). This option is Bed and Breakfast.

Shared Apartment 

Option of single or shared rooms. Apartments are fully equipped, with cable TV and wifi. Bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared with other students. The flats are within walking distance.

Shared apartments require a  placement fee: € 40 and a security deposit: € 100.
