Our partner school in Rome, Studio Italia, is an Italian language school for foreigners founded in 1985. For the last 30 years it has been one of the most important Italian language teaching centres in Rome. It is located in the very centre of Rome only 5 minutes from St. Peter’s Church and just off Via Cola di Rienzo one of the most important commercial streets of the city right behind Piazza del Popolo. The school is surrounded by restaurants, cafés, shops and cinemas. Very close to the school are two metro stops, OTTAVIANO and LEPANTO, and the whole area is very well connected to public transport.

A general communicative approach is combined with all the newest didactic techniques and teaching strategies, allowing us to customize the learning path and the program for each individual student.

Activities and excursions

The school offers a variety of culture tours and activities, some of them are free of charge and others must be paid extra, an average cost is 5€ per person, but will depend on activity.  The activities are organized based onthe interest of the students as well as the events occurring around the city.

Examples of activities:

– Tours in the centre of Rome and visiting the most emblematic monuments Pantheon, Colosseo, Fontana di Trevi, la piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo etc.

– Visiting district of Trastevere – open air martkets, palaces

– Cooking classes when you learn how to prepare typical Italian dishes

– Trips to footbal stadium

– Movie watching: Italian cinema

STANDARD INTENSIVE COURSE

20 lessons per week, 4 classes a day (mornings or afternoons)
The course consists of 20 lessons of Italian in groups, Monday to Friday. The schedule is 9.15 am to 12.30 pm (a lesson is 45 minutes).

SUPER-INTENSIVE COURSE

30 lessons per week, 6 classes a day
The course consists of 30 lessons of Italian in groups, Monday to Friday.
From 9:15 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 15:00

CILS PREPARATION COURSE

Total of 32 classes, extensive 1 evening a week
The course consists of a total of 32 lessons which take place one evening a week (2 classes a week).
Levels: B1 – C1

JUNIOR PROGRAMME (SUMMER ONLY)

20 lessons per week, 4 classes a day. The course consists of 20 lessons of Italian in groups, Monday to Friday. The schedule is 9.30am to 13.00 pm (a lesson is 45 minutes).
An interesting programme of social activities is included in the price which gives the students an opportunity to discover and appreciate the true artistical beauty of Rome.
Various options of accommodation are available.

Italian host family

The opportunity to live with an Italian family offers the student the possibility to better understand the Italian language outside of the classroom and gain a deeper understanding of the language and how it is used in the culture and everyday life of Italians.The families live in close proximity to the school and are well connected by public transportation.

The option of a single or double room is available with all our host families. The double rooms are available for people traveling together and have requested them.

The standard package includes accommodation and breakfast. This is a typical Italian Breakfast, cappuccino, milk, biscuits etc …

DINNER: This is not included in the package but for an additional cost, you can have dinner with the family.

Shared comfortable apartments

Single or double room in shared apartments, self-service catering (double rooms available for people travelling together). All apartments are equipped with a kitchen and shared bathroom, and depending on availability we can arrange accommodation in a mixed or only Female household. All apartments are located in the center of Rome in a walking distance from the school.

A full week is from a Sunday to Saturday. If you need to arrive before/after Sunday/Saturday you will have to pay an extra fee for the night: 45,00 euro Breakfast is included in the price. Half board is not included: 12,00 euro per meal.

A full week is from a Sunday to Saturday. If you need to arrive before/after Sunday/Saturday you will have to pay an extra fee for the night: 40 euro.
